At first glance, there is something different from Mercedes-Benz S400 hybrid. This car is looks the same as other premium sedan. But make no mistake this car is bulletproof. Not only pistols or rifles, this car is claimed also bulletproof with gunfire from M16 and AK47!!!
Mercedes-Benz is in cooperation with Texas Armoring Corporation (TAC) in modifying Mercedes-Benz S400 a hybrid sedan to become bulletproof car. TAC is implementing T6 lightweight high-power rifle protection line to S400 Hybrid body.
High tech ultra light material which is grafted into Mercedes-Benz S400 body is claimed lighter between 30-40% than other bulletproof layer. No wonder if they are believed that this hybrid sedan is still can consume the fuel with a very efficient performance.
Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid which is equipped with ultra lightweight protection T6 is sold at USD 255,000 plus additional costs for the next option. Pre-orders for US and Europe can only be done on January 3 next year. TAC itself will continue to expand bulletproof hybrid car line in 2011.
